Crud-ilococcus Seri-us

I have recently observed a widespread public health crisis to which you must be alerted. It is an epidemic that is infecting homes all across Southeast Texas. It's called "the crud, " and nobody in the south is safe. It is more frequently referred to as "that ol' cruuuud, " or the non-colloquial "common cold."

Take care people, 'cause that dang ol' crud is ugly.

Ciao! Another expat! cool! I "found" the pecans under my christmas tree when I was in vail. They were from my SIL's parents, from New Orleans. They travelled a far way to end up in my belly! :OP

I love pecans.

I've always known "the crud." My grandmother in Arkansas gets "the crud" about twice a year. So here's an interesting development: I have a new spin on "the crud."

The other night, I was hanging out with some good old boys who've lived in Soutn Austin since there was only one little road into town. Well, they were ribbing one of the guys for not having been around in days, and he explained he'd been home with "the crap." And he called it "the crap" a few times. Subsequently--he's feeling a lot better now.

So, now we have an edgier version of "the crud." "The crap" can only be cured by raw habanero, tequila shots and cold showers.

I should knock on wood--I haven't been stricken with "the crud" or "the crap" yet this year. 'Course, it is only February...
