About Me
- Name: Tracie P.
- Location: Austin, Texas, United States
Does leaving your former life to live in paradise really need much explanation? I had a dream to live in Italy. After four years of teaching and almost as many summers traveling, I knew that something had to be done. I needed to cook every day with that fresh, locally-grown produce. I needed to connect with people who made their own wine and bought their whole chickens with the feet still on. I wanted to live in a culture whose inherent passion for gastronomy was not born of pretense, but of the knowledge that what is so fundamental to life should also be ENJOYED. This, for me, is the definition of "la dolce vita Italiana." While it may not always be sweet, it is always Italian.

Tracie, this is dad not mom, this time. I told mom it was the castle looking structure in the top left corner that is the giveaway. That is the cemetery that we visited on Ischia. Good pictures. But that is just the opinion of a guy from Texas that traveled all the way to Italia to sightsee in a cemetery. And oh yeah lots of other interesting sights too. And oh yeah we got to see the most beautiful sight in all of Italia, bellisimo Tracie.
Did I spell that right.
love ya, Dad

it doesn't matter how you spell it dad, it's the thought (that one in particular, you know the one where you precede my name with "bellissima")that counts ;)

Ah lovely... I love walking out to the end and just sitting enjoying the sea... It's harder to find that here in Vancouver, but Switzerland had my favorite spots which I usually biked to and enjoyed every weekend...

Hi Tracie. In answer to your question on my blog - we went Bagni di Lucca (near Lucca).
Where are you? (prob if I read your blog in more detail I'd find out but easier to ask!)

I can't imagine what it would be like to have parents alive who could possibly comment on my blog. It blows me away!
And I love both your photos! (Sepia is cool!)

sei fortunata sai? Qui fa un fredo di morte! So i am happy for the boat, for it sits in warmer waters than if it was here in the "north pole" - well, just about....

Do ya think that I'm the only person who knows that your subject line references a pimp movie? I'll put money on it.

i hope not jen, i think the world needs a little more of the "pimp with a heart of gold" genre...
