Clients Quoted #1

This is the first in what may be a series of words yanked from the mouths of our clients--you know, those that come to visit us on their yachts.

"Did you know that oil hit $78 a barrell today? My Texan friends don't know what to do with their money!"

-Californian man on vacation with his family, said after he found out I was from Texas.

I would suggest that his Texan friends save "all that money."

They're going to need it for gas :)

Tracie, I admire your restraint! I can be a hothead at times and if a rich guy said that to me (with all the horrible stuff that's causing these gas prices and all) I might just take it badly and end up losing my job. Good for you!

It's in moments like that, that you can really understand how the French and the Russians wound up with revolutions.

Glad to see you back Tracie, you were very much missed

Hopefully, all of your clients aren't such ignorant a-holes. I would've had a very hard time keeping my mouth shut after a comment like that.

vj that was uncalled for! I am a texan and do not own an oil well. I too think that the client with the quote was not thinking but I do not know if I would call him dumb. Just insensitive like you appear to be!

um vj, maybe you didn't realize that i'm texan as well. i agree with anonymous. assuming that everyone in a state as big as texas thinks, feels, etc just like ONE person from texas makes you look like the dumbest of the lot. sorry, you started it.

hey, hey, hey, whats everyone upset about. Every body knows that us Texans all live on a ranch, ride horses and rope cows all day long. We just feed our transportation hay and save on the gas and when someone makes an insensitive remark we just pull out our six gun and shoot'em.

Seriously, we are very sensitive to the things happening all over the world. I hope I never get desensitive to the ugly remarks that SOME will make without thinking before they speak, aka the client! I know we raised our daughter, Tracie, to be a kind, thoughtful, and very funny young woman. She is my daughter afterall!

I am a re-located Texan, riding horses, living on a Ranch, tending the cattle, that sounds pretty good to me! Does it happen by allotment? Where do I sign up?
