My Mom Quoted #1

"Hey Ricky, try this cheese. It tastes like throw-up, but it's good."

--Mom trying (not-so-convincingly, I must say) to get my uncle to taste the Gruyere.

Pickled ginger smells and tastes like soap to me, yet I still enjoy it. I guess the pallette-cleansing idea makes that ok?!?

lol - pls take mom with you to a wine tasting. We need new adjectives for wine... "earthy"-boring, "hint of chocolate" -yup, yup... "smells like bandaids" is a good start. :)

Hysterical.

This is like my mom opening the milk in the fridge, cringing and then passing it to my dad saying, "I think this has gone bad. Taste it."

Or Bubba's high school friend that was quoted as saying, "Parmesan smells like fucking puke dude. What's up with that?"

Always cracks me up.

Good one. I take it your mum doesn't work in marketing :) Did your uncle try the Gruyere in the end?

Just found your blog. How exciting that you are living in Italy! I'm Italian by birth, but only visited there for the first time a couple of years ago. It's an amazing country. I look forward to your stories!

Hmmmmm, throw up cheese. Sounds soooo yummy!

I am a little late on my wishes (but better late than never). First congrats on your new nephew! Enjoy your time with him.

Also, happy belated easter! Or should I say Buona pasqua?
