Once upon a time in Texas, there was a girl with an appetite and a dream...

Ain't That the Truth

This is a brief exchange that took place between a student and me as I was looking over his shoulder at some recent prom pictures.

me: Is that the prom queen?

student: No.

me: Oh, I thought that was her because she's wearing a tiara.

student: No ma'am, they just all think they're queens.

And you know he's right :)

cyn--i'll be back next week

franca--yes, every time that i am lying on the beach or cutting fresh tomatoes and basil or having my first sip of cool wine, i will probably wish that i could be inside of a windowless class room, basking in flourescent light dealing with 15 year old attitudes for the bargain price of 60 dollars a day (before taxes!)

can you blame me?

nik--i'm not sure how well skippy would prepare me for a new bikini, but i WILL be back :)

I love the "ma'am" part the best. So, are you catching up on the latest prom fashions? What are these crazy kids up to these days?

Traci. . . . been there done that for the then price of $50.00 because I had a degree. . . . The things we do for our kids. . . . got me right out of the idea of full time teaching.
You worried me. . . . I did not think you could stand being away from your love.
Ciao
