About Me
- Name: Tracie P.
- Location: Austin, Texas, United States
Does leaving your former life to live in paradise really need much explanation? I had a dream to live in Italy. After four years of teaching and almost as many summers traveling, I knew that something had to be done. I needed to cook every day with that fresh, locally-grown produce. I needed to connect with people who made their own wine and bought their whole chickens with the feet still on. I wanted to live in a culture whose inherent passion for gastronomy was not born of pretense, but of the knowledge that what is so fundamental to life should also be ENJOYED. This, for me, is the definition of "la dolce vita Italiana." While it may not always be sweet, it is always Italian.

it's always so difficult for those who have embraced the dark side to understand the evils of extraction...
may the force be with you...

Hi. First time to your blog. I was given a link to your blog by eatpraylove because my family may have the opportunity to spend a couple years in Italy as my hubby is 1 of 3 people being considered for a transfer. His company has a european headquarters in cameri, Italy.
We have family there. And I spent 5 weeks there with my grandparents when i was a teenager. I'd love to go back but am a little apprehensive about making such a huge move with 3 kids in tow.
I'm looking forward to reading about your journey.
